The purpose of this class is to bring new meaning and awareness to deep tissue massages to create permanent changes to your client’s body. You will learn how to determine the source of the tension. By determining the source of the tension, you will be able to easily release muscle tension with less pain and soreness to your client than in a traditional deep tissue massage. Additionally, the change in the muscles is more permanent.

Review of Kinesiology.

Learn to palpate and massage difficult to reach muscles.

Review of anatomy/physiology – spindle cells and golgi tendons organ.

Review of massage techniques not often used and benefits of incorporating them into a therapeutic massage session.

Understanding relationship between tight muscles and the effect on surrounding muscles.

Establishing rapport and trust with your clients.
